Indigo in Indianapolis

I love blue, I love baskets, and I love little blocks, so this one has it all, in my book...

The batting may be thick, but it doesn't detract much...

An indigo whole-cloth...

Detail - Still has that beautiful sheen...

Great quilts - particularly love those baskets. Did she just run out of one blue half way through?

Beautiful quilts. It still amazes me that people created such treasures without the convenience of all the tools we have today.

What a treasure of a quilt! I sometimes wonder what the makers of such quilts would think of us as we rush from project to project with our time-saving gadgets and techniques? Would they be amazed or would they be sad? Just wondering.

Beautiful quilts. Luky you to see them up close. I saw the antique blue quilts featured at Long Beach last year. Still would like to one someday!
Thanks for sharing.

No one could resist that one with the cute little baskets. I just saw a very mini one at my LQG show but this one blows it away.

As an indigo lover, your quilt is fabulous. Also, after making the little basket quilt in When the Cold Wind Blows, I know how much work those tiny baskets must be.
That is a beauty of an indigo quilt.
