Pair of Doll Quilts

Here are my two recent finished doll quilts.  The green one is true in color, but I don't know what happened to the one patch of squares.  Yikes, this one is so much brighter, and not nearly so yellow as it appears.  Anyway, there is a little surprise in the latter - a tiny four patch.  I'm hoping to complete the quilting on many of my already basted, and ready to quilt, doll quilt tops.  They are really a joy to hand quilt - nearly instant gratification, and a fun summer project, I think.  Easily portable to work on on the porch, inside while "watching" tv, at a sew-in with a friend.  I just love everything about them, and hope to hang some on a wall in a spare bedroom.   For now, I do enjoy just looking through the growing stack of little quilts.  Are you on the doll quilt bandwagon yet?

Cute quilts. I admire everyone's minis, but don't make many myself. They really are delightful. Maybe someday.

Yes, I've made quite a few small quilts and doll quilts. I love playing with all my scraps of mostly Civil War fabrics, and hope to get some of these quilts hand quilted over the summer. I find that the light is so much better in summer, which makes it easier to see what I'm doing. Love your quirky little 4-patch.

Yes, Yes, Yes. I have caught the mini or doll quilt bug. I feel that you can be so much more creative because they are small and take very little fabric. I'm willing to try things that I would not with a bigger project.

Hello Jan,I love "the not true color" in this little quilt, it looks like an antique quilt!I just found your blog via barrister blocks blog, I will be returning!:)I had to chuckle when I read your post above where you said "don't spend Sunday afternoon looking for breadcrumbs on the web", lol, which I was doing and continued to do this afternoon, I don't know why I came up with the idea of searching out quilt blogs, just what I needed was more distractions, buttt I like to think that they are a place to get inspired ?! Happy Quilting Jan :)
