Here is the finished porch quilt top. I am pretty happy with it. Nearly all of the fabric was in the stash, but for the sashing. There was only one yard, and, of course, it was my favorite of all that I auditioned. Thought that I would take a chance online, and Main Street Quilts had just under two yards left, so you know I snagged it all! The top evolved from leftover 9 patchs, blue and white brick leftovers from Bonnie's Texas Braid, and the desire to make something for the porch. Blue with gray is very New England summer to me, and I like the combination.

These blocks are the leaders and enders for my other leader and ender 4 patchs! The centers were a charm pack giveaway from the generous Kathie from
www.inspiredbyantiquequilts.blogspot.com . The corner triangles are extras from my Christmas Cracker quilt. The strips are, again, from the Texas Braid. These blocks may just be a backing for an unknown quilt in my future. It will be curious to see how many quilts that never would have been can be sewn from all of my overcutting.

Very inspirational as I am in the midst of tidying up my cutting table and finding lots of extra's hanging about. (hst and 9-patches have been breeding under the cutting mat!)

Those are cute churn dash blocks--another pattern I never tire of. (Sorry, Mom. ...Of which I never tire. Better?--she was an English major. I could just see her wince.)

Jan, I love your porch quilt! It is stunning! I really like how you handled the corners and what would have normally been the setting triangles. I am sad to say that I have not added another "brick" to my braid quilt from the Bonnie Hunter class! I am going to have to pull all of my UFO's out and get them organized or at least make a list if them so I can make some progress on them. Thanks for the quilting inspiration today!

The quilt is stunning and the combo of the alternating blocks on point and the sashing fabric give it sew much movement. You didn't mention borders and I kinda like it just the way it is.

My favorite kind of quilt - uses leftovers and simple blocks with the fabric doing the work. Love the color combination. I think of gold for another color to add to red, white and blue, but I must remember to try gray. Love it!
