The Gaylord Texan Convention Center in Dallas is featuring Alice in Wonderland this summer - what a great sand sculpture!
Not much sewing going on here (but I did visit three quilt shops on Saturday). All I have to show for two weeks is one block. This is the progress on my square-in-square blocks. Still pondering my options.

Were the shops in Dallas? If so, fill me in, so I can visit them when I go visit my sis in Dallas. The sand sculptures are amazing! WOW! I am not getting much done either! Need to put the binding on a quilt, but it might have to wait until after the 4th!
One of the shops was in Arlington (just south of DFW) - Lone Star House of Quilting. If you like repros, you'll love the shop. Great samples and friendly service.
If you're looking for opinions, I always seem to have one.
I like the block on the right......on point !
great block!
I love that outside fabric wow I would have never bought that but now that I see it used, great color!
whose fabric is it?

The blue 'bubble' fabric is by Marcus - Judie Rothermel Rocky Mountain Quilts II.
Oh my gosh I've never seen anything like these sand sculptures. Wow!
Great progress. Love the fabrics!!! Yummy.
Whoa, the sand sculptures are amazing!!! Looks like fun.
What a cute block:)
I can't imagine how someone can make such detailed sand sculptures. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, but it's a fabulous block isn't it! Progress is progress, I say don't knock it, celebrate it~! Have some Pie, or a parfait ~ everyone loves a parfait!
Cheers,
Dionne
l love seeing those sand sculptures. They used to have them at a beach near our holiday house every year. Such talent. Your block is great. Thanks for sharing.
Love the great comment about my shop, Lone Star House of Quilts in Arlington, Texas. Thanks and ya'll come!
Your Grandma Flo would love it!

I have taken quite an interest in Alice In Wonderland this year. I have printed out several pictures from old coloring books that I would like to embroider. The sand sculptures are very, very interesting. A talented person did those.
Great sand sculptures but, please, more about the quilt shops. I will be in Texas in early October for work and planned my flight (and am arriving a day early) just to go to Lone Star House of Quilts!
