A Picture's Worth ...

The Quilt Merchant in Winfield, IL is a 'must see' for repro lovers - wonderful samples, eye-catching  staging, luscious fabrics, and friendly service.  This shop has been mentioned on many blogs, so probably 'old news'.  However, I have some great shots (which they were happy to have posted on the blog) - so, 'a picture's worth a thousand words'!

The quilting on the cheddar quilt was a perfect match!

The antique ensemble on the dress form is 'for sale'.  If you're interested, contact the shop.

Thanks for the little peek into such a fabulous shop. I would love to go there! The cheddar quilt is wonderful - the quilting is just right. So was it an expensive visit?? :0)

What a joy it would be to set foot in this store. Wish it was just a state or two closer.

It's been nearly a year since I've been to the shop so I really appreciate the photos. I first learned about them from when they were featured in Quilt Sampler. I just love looking at their reproduction fabrics and I can't wait until October when I visit Chicago next!

I am going to be in that area soon and would LOVE to go to that shop, but don't know if I dare! I spent my wad at Verna's in Mifflinburg, PA. It sure looks like my kind of shop, however.
