Jamie's stars are sewn with an alternate cheddar block. Jan already had a setting in mind for a star block, so her's just needs to come up in the project rotation. I've been pondering what to do with mine as I've been constructing the T quilt. One day we'll post the three tops for comparison.
I thought you might like to see the pitcher I use for refilling the water in my steam iron. This rogue piece was gifted to me - a little cream pitcher (I'm guessing). I'm not sure if it's real Majolica, but I love it. Much better use than stuck in a cabinet - I enjoy it every sewing day!

OMG! I love those stars! What a treasure you must be to your friends. I just started hand piecing some little variable stars but I think doing them as leaders and enders is a good idea. They can get a little boring if that's all you're doing. Can't wait to see the finished "T" quilt.
What absolutely pretty little star blocks those are. I do love white backgrounds. How fun that will be to quilt. Are you going to quilt it by hand or machine?
I love the stars and your jug, what lovely things to look at. It's great fun sharing projects with friends.
Just love the stars :-) Amazing what you can do with leaders and enders. Oh to be so organised!!
Love the rich blue in your jug too.
Cheers

I have to tell you that I'm loving the stars! They certainly caught my eye and quickly!!!
Those star blocks are adorable. I can't wait to see the final setting. Thanks for sharing.
These are my most favorite star blocks! Can't wait to see them all put together! Love that pitcher too, and what a great idea to use it in the sewing room!!
Those are small star blocks and they look very good.
Look at how fabulous those stars look just tossed at random on your circular rug!!! I reckon that is your setting for them - and it is like the circle of stars overhead...
They are gorgeous whatever you do with them - well done that girl!!!!
It is nice to have pretty thing to enjoy in the sewing/quilting room. Your stars are cute. I do enjoy little blocks.
Love the star blocks and what a wonderful gift for a special birthday. Oh gosh that reminds me, my next birthday is going to be the big 50, not sure how I feel about it.
cheers
Christine
Hi Vicki -
I love your star blocks - especially they way they are staged --
What a great way to fill your iron - I'm using a water bottle from Niagara Falls - not nearly as cool. I'll have to peruse my cabinets for something more special.
That star is one of my favourite blocks, I love your work!
