What a treasure of a quilt! I sometimes wonder what the makers of such quilts would think of us as we rush from project to project with our time-saving gadgets and techniques? Would they be amazed or would they be sad? Just wondering.
Beautiful quilts. Luky you to see them up close. I saw the antique blue quilts featured at Long Beach last year. Still would like to one someday! Thanks for sharing.

As an indigo lover, your quilt is fabulous. Also, after making the little basket quilt in When the Cold Wind Blows, I know how much work those tiny baskets must be. That is a beauty of an indigo quilt.

Great quilts - particularly love those baskets. Did she just run out of one blue half way through?
I love baskets too...thanks for showing this one.
Beautiful quilts. It still amazes me that people created such treasures without the convenience of all the tools we have today.
