No pictures with the post today. Jan and I took occupancy of our Pall Mall London rental flat this morning. Lucky no impact to flight schedules from Saturday morning Iceland volcano action - we've been worrying about that for a few weeks. Lucky we were ignorant of current events, because we would have stressed the whole day! Possibility of London air traffic impact on Tuesday. If we're stranded - darn, we'll have to stay longer and see more! We've been planning this two-week trip for at least two years (since we first learned of V&A quilt exhibit). Itinerary includes V&A exhibit this week (in case we want to revisit during second week) and trip to Bath on Fri/Sat to include The American Museum in Bath quilt exhibit. Back to London on Sunday to catch the chunnel for 3 day trip to Paris.
Cool and cloudy this afternoon, so we took the Tube to Harrod's and did a little shopping on Regent Street (Liberty of London) - main purchase was tea. Hoping the rain holds off tomorrow for Big Bus Tour to get our bearings.
Posting will be erratic, but will try to include unedited pictures of interest (quilt pics dependant on exhibit rules).
Talk to you soon.

How exciting. Can't to see what pix you have. Have fun!
Oh, how I envy your trip! Good luck dodging the ash. Post London pics even if you cannot take quilt pics.
Enjoy London! How about a drink while in Paris? Will from Not So Zen
How Wonderful!!
I adore London and Paris is not too shabby either.
Have a wonderful time at the V&A - can't wait for photos -
enjoy!!
I am so glad you made it without volcanic interuption. Have a great time!!
How wonderful! The big bus is a great way to see a lot while getting over jet lag...the walking tours are fun too (loved the one I took around Westminster that included the war museum and the Jack the Ripper - tough it was a bit scarey!) The National Gallery is amazing if you want to get in another museum...
SOOO Happy for ya'll! ENJOY and take LOTS of photos! I can only imagine how fabulous it will all be! Be safe. There's a great little cafe/tea house across the street from Harrod's, can't remember the name... XO
Brilliant!!! Glad you made it!Party on kids!
